讲者:张喜淋,华南师范大学心理学院教授,博士生导师,国家自然科学基金优青项目获得者,任中国认知科学学会认知与类脑计算专委会委员、《心理科学进展》编委等。2009年本科毕业于西南大学;2014年博士毕业于北京大学,之后前往美国国立卫生研究院(NIH)进行博士后研究,并于2018年入职华南师范大学心理学院。张喜淋教授主要利用心理物理学、脑成像、眼动和计算模型研究视知觉、注意、意识、情绪及工作记忆的神经机制。相关成果以第一或通讯作者身份发表在Neuron, PNAS, Current Biology, PLoS Biology, Journal of Neuroscience, NeuroImage等权威期刊上。曾获中国神经科学学会葛兰素史克(GSK)明日之星奖;2019年,凭借其在“注意和感知觉”领域的出色研究获得美国心理科学学会(The Association for Psychological Science, APS)年度学术新星(Rising Star),为该年度唯一获得此项殊荣的中国大陆学者。

内容简介:Since neural resources are severely limited, efficiently processing visual information requires selecting only a very small fraction of the multitude of information available to the visual system at any one instant in time. Attentional selection, as the main mechanism that controls this selection process, can either be executed voluntarily by top-down signals derived from goals or automatically by bottom-up signals from salient stimuli. Although the bottom-up attentional selection is typically quick and potent, there are controversies concerning the brain regions involved. In this talk, I will first talk about how we resolve this controversy by manipulating subjects’ awareness and identify V1 as the neural substrate of the early component of attentional selection by combining psychophysics, brain imaging, and computational modeling. Then I will introduce our recent studies examining the distribution, spatial profile, and neural computation of visual bottom-up attention. Finally, I will discuss the relationship between visual bottom-up attention and awareness, and how they interactively shape our experience of the world.
