主要采用行为,电生理与脑成像技术从事人类情绪与抑郁的易感性及其调控机制研究,开发了行为冲动性/冲动抑制测量的新型范式(双选择oddball范式),建立了可实现自动化情绪调节的标准化刺激材料库(“中国情绪调节词语库 CERWS”)。以第一或通讯作者在JAMA Network Open(IF=13.35), Neuroscience & Biobehavioral Reviews(IF=11.20), Science China Life Sciences(IF=10.37),Cerebral Cortex,NeuroImage,Emotion,Human Brain Mapping,  The Journal of Positive Psychology,Social Cognitive and Affective Neuroscience, 中国科学,科学通报,心理学报 等高显示度期刊发表论文百余篇(其中SCI/SSCI 一区论文29篇),成果被引用3900余次,个人H指数32,I-10因子93(Google学术统计)。主持5项国家自然科学基金面上项目、四川省杰出青年科学基金等5项省部级项目,著有国家十三五重点规划著作1部,参政议政成果省部级及以上采用2项,国家知识产权登记证书4项。研究成果得到Science杂志主办单位美国科学促进会(AAAS)、应激与心理健康牛津手册(Oxford Handbook of Stress and Mental Health)、维基百科(Wikipedia)、纽约每日新闻(New York News Everyday)、英国每日医学新闻(Medical News Today) ,经济时报(The Economic Times)、印度时报(The Times of India)、中国日报(China Daily)、中国社会科学报、中国新闻网、新华网、人民网等国内外著名媒体的广泛报道与转载。
